Sometimes the time just has to be right for things to fall into place. Even flavours.

Beautiful photo.I love the curve of the cord as it hangs down. xx

I sometimes think that curries are like wines and cheeses. You can do everything the same way in creating them, but the end results can vary. And then they can vary from day to day.

I like their inconsistencies and their unpredictability.

Beautiful new header, m'dear. Perfect for this serene space.

Curry? Do I smell curry? Sometimes it *is* better the second day, like an Italian red sauce.

Squat and adorable glazed box - looks like a matryoshka. Perfectly placed.

more window love!

I really love these wee updates from the trenches ...

and one that has an image that works with the narrative but isn't exactly representative of it

and curry is almost always better after a rest

Ganga: You said it more eloquently than I. Thanks. X

Daniel: Their unpredictability is, as you say, one of their most delectable charms.

Wendy: It's always evolving, Nourish Me. I seem to need a calm, quiet place to be just me, if that makes sense. Thanks for noticing. X

Susan: She was pumpkin-based, one carved up in honour of Halloween. Our guests thought it good - they went back for seconds and thirds - but I didn't make it with the care I usually do. Yes. A matryoshka doll. Have a thing for 'em.

Karima: I'm feeling as though I'm pushing against the narrative these days; edging into newer territory. Glad you noticed...Amazing, isn't it, how those flavours just sort themselves out over night?!!

Love how you turn negative into positive :-)

With so few words you make me smile, and appreciate everything.

Sue: I think it's the only way, really. It was a bad week, but it did get better!

Katrina: My lovely. As do you. Thank you. I've missed you.
