This September, I'm honoured to announce myself the first guest host for Susan, The (ever-so) Well-Seasoned Cook's now monthly event, My Legume Love Affair.
In keeping with the original concept, there are no restrictions around here as to what constitutes a leguminous dish. That said, legumes, beans, pulses, call them what you will - be they fresh, frozen, dried, tinned or something altogether different - must feature as the central, defining ingredient of your recipe. All courses are welcome - from savoury beginnings to sweet, beany-endings and everything in between.
A prize* is on offer to all who participate, to be shipped to wherever in the world the randomly selected winner resides. The Cook's Pocket Companion is a favourite of mine - full of odd little facts about food, gourmets and the history of eating. There's even a clever little concertinaed pocket at the back to hold your own food-related snippets and clippings.
To enter, simply post a new recipe or a newly posted one from your archives, linking to this announcement AND to The Well-Seasoned Cook. Then send an email with My Legume Love Affair as the subject and the following details to lucindadodds[AT]yahoo[DOT]com[DOT]au by Sunday, September the 28th, 2008.
Your name:
Name and URL of your post:
Location:
Photo: Optional (400 x 300 or 300 x 400 pixels depending the orientation of your image)
Use of the above logo is optional, too.
You don't need to have a blog (or indeed a food blog) to enter this event. Simply send a recipe and a photograph to the above email address and you'll be in the mix, too.
*Neither Susan or myself have any connection with the author or publisher of this little tome. A big thank you goes out to Susan for both generously purchasing and kindly posting the prize.
The previous (delicious) round-ups can be found here and here.
Perfect for leguminous-inspiration.
Yay Lucy! Great that you're taking this on. Looking forward to finding another great legume recipe to enter (and crossing my fingers for the prize!). :)
