Oh dear Lucy, a photographer I am not...but don't stylist always use vaseline (petroleum jelly) to attract light, feign moistitude & richness? EEsh good luck!

Lucy

Calli, I think you are right...might even given it a go....

Actually, I can't. Just can't bring self to cheat, you see! Think much of it's a matter of waiting patiently for the right light. Thanks!

Ricki

Well, I'm certainly no photographer, but I'd say you've already made that photo sing pretty well!

Johanna

I think this weather is also messing with cravings - yesterday I thought it was going to be warm and planned a spicy asian meal but by the evening it was so cold I was happy with a simple bowl of rice and veg!

I am with you in my admiration for anyone who has the knack of making chocolate look as good as it tastes!

Carson

sweetie I don't think Nigella does tofu

pRiyA

right on about Nigella.
simpler things for her would probably mean her pea soup drenched with mozzarella - thick and rich stuff whizzed in one of her fancy gadgets.

not sure about photographing the chocolate (did you see the latest fudge picture in 101 cookbooks?), but i love your poetic pictures of mushroom gills.

Lucy

Ricki, you are FAR too kind!

Johanna, what IS going on out there in weather land? Choc is super-hard. So. Am leaving it until a later stage of the project, I have decided...

Carson, I watched Nigella 'tother night on tha telly suggesting one may like to come home to not 1 but TWO pork chops of large-ness and a whole plate of gorganzola-smothered gnocchi. My heart stopped in horror.

pRiyA, thank you (and welcome). The 'shroom play was the most fun I've had all year. Well, almost. I just spied Heidi's choc fudge and it is, indeed, gorgeous.
