Of course I say lately, but this was taken in, what, April? I should note these things down more accurately - indeed, I can hear the voice of my first year lecturer telling me to do just that, and f-stops and shutter speeds andandand - but somehow that takes away from the joy of just seeing.
Their skins were split by February's heavy rains, but perfect in tomato chilli jam.
Celeriac - not my own, I am sorry to say - cooked Ottolenghi's way, suggested by our friend Ben who I happily converted to the book last year. It was the leek fritters that did the trick. Must make again.
All my own work, these. Swoon. Eggplant Love.
Then, there was this:
The very lovely, very sweet Miss Alice, the latest edition to us, who arrived one morning in February.
And there I was thinking I was not a Cat Person. Thrilled to be wrong.
Love that she's converted you. She looks beautiful.

It took me a long time to be convinced I was a cat person but now I think I just might turn into one of those old ladies surrounded by cats - they are far less demanding than a garden - love your tomatoes - so pretty

Love this...I like to say that it's only when you get a cat that you realise that you must have had a cat-shaped hole in your heart! Of course, some cats are more divine than others - Miss Alice looks delightful.

Alice is beautiful. So are those tomatoes. I'm still looking forward to the first tomato of the season. Mine seem to be late this year.

Said it before, I'd love to walk through a room filled with your photos. They sooth me.
And Alice! She's beautiful. I could love a cat...
